Enhanced Checkout Options: Shopify App Installation Guide

Welcome to Enhanced Checkout Options!

Easily add custom cart and checkout options like gift wrapping, shipping insurance, and more to your Shopify store. Follow the steps below to install and configure the app.

🛠️ Step 1: Install the App from the Shopify App Store

• Log in to your Shopify admin: Go to your store’s admin panel at yourstore.myshopify.com/admin.

• Visit the App Store:

  1. Navigate to Apps > Shopify App Store

  2. Or go directly to: Shopify App Store

• Search and Install:

  1. Search for "Enhanced Checkout Options"

  2. Click the app in the results

  3. Click "Install" and approve the required permissions

⚙️ Step 2: Set Up Your Cart & Checkout Options

• Open the App from your Shopify admin.

• Create Option Groups:

  1. Choose between checkboxes, radio buttons, or dropdowns

  2. Set labels, choices, and optional pricing for each option

• Choose Display Location:

  1. By default, options appear in the cart page and mini-cart drawer

  2. If you're on Shopify Plus, you can enable options inside the checkout summary or shipping step

• Assign to Products or Storewide:

  1. Apply options globally or target specific products/collections

• Save your changes

🧪 Step 3: Test the Options

• Go to your storefront and add a product to your cart.

• Open the cart page or mini-cart drawer — your new options should appear.

• Select options and proceed to checkout.

• Confirm that selected choices are added as line items and reflect correct pricing.

✅ Step 4: Publish & Go Live

• Once everything looks good, your options are live and visible to customers.

• Shopify Plus: Ensure you've added the required snippet to checkout.liquid if using checkout blocks (we provide full instructions in the app).

📝 Tips for Best Results

1. 💬 Use clear labels for your options (e.g., “Add Gift Wrapping - €4.99”)

2. 📦 Treat options as upsells: Offer insurance, express handling, or eco packaging

3. 🔄 Update options seasonally or based on campaigns
